Brain Breaks are very popular nowadays. And why not? Brain breaks are found to be a fast and effective way of helping learners regain energy and focus. They are also proven to be a useful tool in helping activate and stimulate their brains.
Yoga, being a tried and true method for reducing stress, can work well as a brain break. Since testing is a part of our lives (whether we like it or not), I've created YOGA BRAIN BREAKS to incorporate yoga poses with math review, specifically counting from 1 to 10, as well as skip counting by 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s and 10s. My students really enjoy this activity and always ask for it. I'm sure your students will love this, too.
Included in this SAMPLER are 2 yoga poses. You will also receive slides that give students the yoga poses, the numbers to be recited, and the numbers that students have to count or skip count while doing the pose.
